Privacy Policy

What data we collect on this site, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Effective date: 19 August 2026

This policy explains how Brown Noise handles personal data when you use https://brownoise.online, contact us, use tools, or buy Services. We are based in Delhi, India. Visitors come from many countries. We aim to respect common privacy expectations.

1. Data controller

The controller is Brown Noise. Contact us at brownnoiseteam@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

Information you provide

If you email us or enter a commercial relationship, we receive what you send: name, email, company, project details, and billing information when those details are part of the exchange. There is no contact form. See the Contact page. You start the email.

Automatically collected

The Site collects IP address, browser, device, and operating system; pages viewed; referring URL; approximate location from IP; timestamps; and cookie or similar IDs. See the Cookie Policy.

Tool usage

Browser tools process input on your device. We do not intend to store typed tool text on our servers. Generator settings such as volume, timer, and equalizer stay in local storage on the device. Analytics may still record that you visited a tool page.

Payments

A payment processor handles card payments. We receive payment confirmation and limited billing details. We do not receive full card numbers unless a future checkout says otherwise.

3. How we use data

We use personal data to:

  • operate, secure, and improve the Site
  • respond to inquiries and deliver Services
  • handle payments, invoices, and tax
  • measure traffic
  • comply with law and our Terms

We do not sell personal data.

4. Legal bases (EEA, UK, similar)

We rely on these bases where EEA, UK, or similar laws apply:

  • Consent: analytics cookies you accept.
  • Contract: delivering Services you request.
  • Legitimate interests: security, basic analytics, and improving content, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation: tax and compliance records.

You can withdraw cookie consent through browser settings or the cookie preferences control.

5. Sharing

We share personal data with:

  • Google (Analytics). See Google's privacy policy
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers
  • Payment processors
  • Professional advisers under confidentiality
  • Authorities when required

Providers should process data only on our instructions where contracts allow.

6. International transfers

Providers may process data outside your country, including the United States. We use Standard Contractual Clauses or explicit consent where required.

7. Retention

We keep data as long as needed for the purpose we collected it. Inquiry emails stay while the conversation is active, then for a reasonable period. Commercial and tax records stay longer if law requires. Analytics retention follows the analytics account: months, not indefinite.

8. Rights

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal data; restrict or object to processing; request portability; withdraw consent; and complain to a supervisory authority. Email brownnoiseteam@gmail.com to exercise these rights. We may need to verify your identity. We answer within legal timeframes.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures. No transmission is fully secure.

10. Children

The Site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone we know is under 13. If we learn we have, we delete it when required.

11. Changes

We post a new version with an updated effective date. We describe material changes on the page when practicable.
